Saturday Oct 17 #

Weight Training 8:00 [3]
(injured)

Fast abs with Ashley Galvin. Knees feeling really good today, a couple of tiny wee niggles but the flossing always seems to make it feel better. Going to wait till Monday to try squats and cycling

Friday Oct 16 #

Weight Training 10:00 [4]

Quick core max Patrick Beach

Note
(injured)

Woke up and my right knee felt SO much better. Could walk down stairs totally normally, not even really painful to touch. Perhaps nerve flossing helped yesterday (I have a feeling that it is helpful) plus the rest. Going to rest a lot the next few days, but might try do flossing 3 x today

Stretching/Flexibility 12:00 [3]

Femoral, tibial and sciatic glides, plus my little back stretch

Weight Training 10:00 [3]
(injured)

Another 10mins core with Patrick Beach. Almost felt like knees were a bit worse right before I started, but definitely still nothing like the last few days. Next to no pain, maybe just a bit tight feeling. I'm confident the glides are working

Note

Did glides again before lunch and dinner. All feeling good

Bellydancing 3:00 [2]

Just a quick test wiggle to Ya Habibi; felt find until I tried sharp hip locks, then left knee twinged a bit. I sat down and danced after that just to be sure

Thursday Oct 15 #

Note
(injured)

Chatted to a colleague today because I really feel there's a neural component involved, because all the "pain" is not really pain but tingly nerve pain. Going to try some femoral flosses (and maybe so peroneal flosses too). Really trying to rest as much as possible for the next few days

Bellydancing 55:00 [2]

Teaching beginners; everything fine except Egyptian shimmy

Bellydancing 55:00 [2]

Teaching int/adv. Was definitely being very careful. There was something at the end that aggravated it a bit, but maybe just because I had to teach for 2 hours ; could have been mayas/omis etc. For the most part I've been walking normally today, though

Note
(injured)

Hardly noticed elbow today, almost totally gone, just some random twinges every now and then. Still going to wait till Monday for arm work

Wednesday Oct 14 #

Note
(injured)

Assessment on knees today; all ligaments, menisces (how do I spell the plural of that) fine, but R kneecap a little unstable, so the patellofemoral tendon might be a bit stretched. However, worked with a client after who I was teaching the pushjerk, and I had to demonstrate - no weight, literally used a broom handle - and in the catch phase on the second rep I feel a locking, but similar pain in the L knee. I think I just need rest. Which is what I don't like, hahaha. Elbow seems fine, just trauma. It's all core and a tiny bit of dance for a while, it seems. In general elbow is not painful today, still feel a little twinge when I brush my teeth.

Bellydancing 55:00 [2]

Teaching. Knees didn't like hip drops so much

Weight Training 10:00 [4]
(injured)

10 minute killer core with Victoria Batha. Becoming increasingly worried about right knee as the kneecap feels weird and nervy, and like there is reduced feeling. Struggling to get a physio appointment. Still not cycling just to be sure. Elbow feeling fine except during fast rotations (cleaning shower, brushing teeth)

Walking 28:01 [2] 2.42 km (11:35 / km)
(injured)

R knee felt a bit aggravated; wonder if yesterday was too much for it. Notice that it's worse during plantar flexion and mid range knee flexion (push off during walking)

Walking 8:48 [2] 0.71 km (12:24 / km)
(injured)

Accidentally knelt on R knee and it was really sore after. Had to cut this walk short because knee was just too sore. Feeling really worried about R knee and feeling really sorry for myself

Bellydancing 2:00 [3]
(injured)

Tried like literally 2 or 3 mins of Shining's Nabaweya Mustafa step and that was the first time I felt like my knees really didn't like something. Just gotta rest

Monday Oct 12 #

Walking 43:12 [2] 4.02 km (10:45 / km)

Strolling
Body feels fine but still being careful until swelling goes down, particularly on knees

Sunday Oct 11 #

Weight Training 8:00 [3]
(injured)

Core 10x10 crunches with Patrick beach. lots of clicking around knees and hips, elbow and wrist is still achey. Think I need to book in for a check up to make sure nothing is broken

Walking 32:45 [2] 2.31 km (14:11 / km)

Ankle weirdly hurting in last few mins. Knees okay
