Easy run with Mark around the YWAM base with the dogs. First day I felt up to running after jetlag, some full on days and still had a nasty cough.

Felt fairly flat and considered flagging it. Decided to see how I went, took it easy up Rapaki. Felt okay and so continued on, up Vernon, round the trails, looped sugar loaf and return same way.

Note

Off to Argentina tomorrow! Hoping to get a few runs in if i'm lucky, will have to see how it goes.

No-one else turned up so did some efforts by myself on the dirt track by the river.
Approx 500m x 6, with 1min easy jog recovery between efforts.
Times consistently 1.45-1.50
Very cold and wet.

From outside quarry up Kennedy's. Small amount of calf/arch pain but pushed through it. Along summit rd to worsleys, turned back on crater rim. Down same route.

Around the streets a little, then up Rapaki. Made it to the top with only slight arch/calf discomfort! Continued on over vernon, then along the trails until I was behind Sugarloaf, then turned back, same route. Soo good.
