Misc (Potomac Valley Games)0.0 mi
weight:180lbs

Worked the track & field meet results from 7:30 to 4:30. Many trips up and down the bleachers to resolve timing issues exhausted me.

Running race (PV Games T&F meet) 27:53 [3] 5.0 km (5:35 / km)
slept:6.0 weight:180lbs

Though I am working this event all weekend, I have good help, and hoped to run in the 5K this evening. Turns out it was actually scheduled for 9:30 AM - even better to get it out of the way. Some warm up before and then off to the races. Hmmm, last place, AND everybody knows my name. Plugged along and finished next to last in a small field of 3 women and about 7 men. Ran the first mile faster than I ever have. But had to walk 100m each of the last 7 laps. Laps were 057 203 209 206 102 (1600 = 817) 209 227 220 220 (1600 = 916) 220 222 224 221 (1600 = 927) 052 (my "famous" finishing kick!!)

Running/Walking (Loop around block) 1:15:10 [2] 6.6 mi (11:23 / mi)

Tonight's choice was either 1) exercise or 2) drink wine. Go figure, I picked #1. I am working a track meet from dawn to dusk the next two days, and besides trips from the press box to the bathroom, there won't be much opportunity for a workout. And despite the fact that it was only two hours after dinner, and it was already dark, I headed out the door.
Did the .55 mile loop "around the block." After running one, I walked one, and then kept this pattern up to the end. Times were 511 741 505 729 455 733 454 726 453 737 453 727.

Running 40:30 [2] 3.95 mi (10:15 / mi)
slept:6.0 weight:180lbs

This morning, I forced myself to make a choice between 1) continuing on my post-race Pop Tart fueled funk, or 2) getting over it. At least for today, I decided on #2. Up at 5:20 and ran. Felt strong, though knees, left hip, and right groin are a bit painful until the Advil kicked in. The measured halves were 435 and 441.

Walking warm up/down 9:45 [1] 0.75 mi (13:00 / mi)

Walk to the start, walk 1/3 mile at halfway point, walk back to house.
Situps: 40

Biking (W&OD) 56:30 [2] 10.25 mi (5:31 / mi)

Lower humidity made it too nice of an afternoon to pass up a ride. A little short on time, so got in what I could. Halves coming back were between 2:00 and 2:08. Glad I got out.

Note
slept:8.0 weight:180lbs (rest day)

Uneventful return from Redmond/Bend yesterday afternoon. Slept faily well last night and had a nap this afternoon. Tackling the last of the unpacking after a busy day at work.
