Walking (Treadmill) 1:05:00 [1] 4.45 mi (14:36 / mi)
weight:181lbs

Well, when it snows on one's day off from work, then one just has to make the most of it...

Roger made chicken pot pies for lunch. Roasted a whole chicken and potatoes, and I added frozen veggies and store bought crust...

Then a photo op with the Snocraft snow shoes from my mom's estate which are going to my brother in Indiana.

Out to fill the bird feeder

The pool was closed, so after a short nap, the treadmill it was. Walked 10 minutes, jogged 5, walked 5, repeat twice more, and then 30 minutes of walking to finish. Watched back episodes of telenovela, and the time went by. Wore knee braces on both knees, so it will be interesting to see if they hurt less than usual tomorrow.

Had lunch with Lailah, and her parents and Roger too!

After a super long nap, the opportunity to swim had passed, so another rest day. Just as well perhaps - if I was tired enough to fall asleep during the day, then I probably needed the rest.

Walking (Treadmill) 1:00:00 [1] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
weight:182lbs

Nope, no way was I going out into the howling wind for a walk!

Dinner at the spanish place in Arlington. We usually have paella, but Roger wanted to try the roasted pig, so we did. Roger likes interacting with Gayna, and it was a pleasant meal. Though, I think I prefer the paella...

Swimming 1:00:00 [1]
weight:183lbs

Slept fairly well last night despite my head toggling between stuffed up and draining out. Figured I would stop early if I was struggling, but I seemed to be cruising along at around the normal pace, and the time went by, eventually. Yay!

Note
weight:183lbs (rest day)

I guess today is a rest today since cold symptoms developed yesterday afternoon and half my head is congested and/or running. Agh! I also guess that eating candy for my "leftover" calories each day, instead of something more nutritious, is not a good idea. Though, eating the candy was pleasing, at the time. Need to do work on balance better during these stressful times.

Though some good news, as well as some no news on the Roger front. The biopsy of the mass on his lung doesn't show renal cells like 6 times in the past, which is good. On the no news side, the sample is being sent for more in depth analysis in order to determine if it is another cancer. This will take a week. And, if no definitive conclusion, then back to waiting to see if it grows or not. Hate the gray areas.

Nine weeks.

Swimming 1:00:00 [1]
weight:184lbs

Switched back to some old goggles which don't painfully press on my eye sockets and swam the whole hour without fiddling. Did clean the lenses with a little shampoo ahead of time, and that seemed to help. Lane to myself. Yeah! Happy with the swim and then played a little with my new waterproof camera.

Note

Always enjoy being greeted by the neighborhood kids when I get home from work.

Bridgette (3)

Molly (3)

The fish are the draw...

Or, perhaps something else draws Molly's attention.

Brendan (5.5), and has mostly mastered his two wheeler.
