A sticky day at work, so a swim was good, especially since it is between summer camps and school swim classes - water was cool and crisp.
Yesterday, after the thunder storms had gone through, TWO turtles were sighted in the backyard. Will have to rely on the AP turtle expert to answer Roger's query on why one was so much darker than what we usually see...or, I could google it...but I'll let Anna have first shot at it...
At this rate, by the weekend, I will walk so late one day, that I may as well keep walking into the next day...very dark by the time I was done. Did a bunch of up and down the neighborhood hills. Unsettled day, so I was happy to get out and clear my head and only concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other without hurting myself.
Left it a little late in the day for me, but the thought of failing on day 5 was enough motivation to go out the door. Enjoyed it, and even met a new neighbor...Paula has lived here seven years. :)

Since the bike was in the car anyway, I decided to drive down to Shirlington and park, thus avoiding the return trip up the hill. From there I biked to DC for the last summer series event, hosted by Karla and Gary.

An anger abatement walk. It was a good move, and I was able to let go of the hurt by the time I got back, and I got my 30 minutes in for the day at the same time.
A lovely late summer day with just a little bit of wind in front of the storm coming up the east coast. Rode around the back roads from the office, enjoying the fresh air.
Sinus pain still present, but sore throat is gone, and I got a bit of sleep last night, or at least wasn't anxious when I was awake, like the night before.
