Was working away all week with work so booked a hotel with a swimming pool and gym. Get there and they said we don't have a swimming pool or gym. Oh well............

Happened to be in the local community centre and there was a cycles quest going on. Got my stuff and was out 30 mins later. Strategically got it wrong but hey ho it was good to get out longer than 30 mins.

Hmmm..... not sure what it is, but my ride to work is normally (or has been) 5.97. It definitely was the right time but I seemed to riding one mile less. Maybe the watch losses connection in the dark areas of the calder valley.

Possibly the world has decided that worst parts of the valley have imploded.

Round Lichfield, good natter with Mike at a good pace. My calf was like a solid rock after 10 mins and had to cut short by 5 mins as it got a bit too sore.

Will try to run with road shoes next time :) rather than trail for road running.

Up to Stoodley and some wandering back via Cragg Vale. Really nice, but windy and unfit. Starting to think about aims for next year.....

Going to hit the road maybe and focus on getting a good half marathon distance and the open adventure 2 day.

May have to speak to RobB about a training plan.
