Running intervals 22:00 [4]

Managed to sneak away from Winchester (visiting family) to a nice run along a stream out towards the M3. Thought I best do something with my limited time so tried some 180/60 managed about 5 1/2 reps. Better than nothing.... /been a bit light recently on the training front lets see what I can fit in tomorrow.

Running tempo 26:00 [5] 3.0 mi (8:40 / mi) +320m 6:31 / mi
slept:6.0 weight:173lbs

Late back from work and missed the fell running training session. After everyone was in bed, the tour had been watched and dinner digested, thought I would start a tempo test. The Wicken Hill Whizz

http://www.cvfr.co.uk/Races/3day/Whizz/whizzhome.h...

Hope to do it once a month to get an idea of my speed on straight up and down race. Never run it in anger, lest see how regularly I do it.

Stopped me watch at the top instead of hitting the split so I have to reckon what I did. So I have 5 mins to shave off. Some of that was down to which route but a lot of work to do.....

Orienteering race 1:08:04 [5] *** 8.4 km (8:06 / km)
spiked:22/23c

It was a great event and a really good performance from ShhhhhUOC. They did the full works and it was great way to spend half the night.

managed to get a couple of hours of kip and the team were really up for it. A good result overall.

Personally wasn't feeling great but I had a great run on leg 4 under the monkier of 'Phil Scarf'. Missed in Limb valley but focused and just kept to the paths all the way around eccleshall easy peasy really.

Running race 20:55 [5] 5.6 km (3:44 / km)

Managed to blagg my way on to the Pricurement's work team to JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge. It was a good laugh, although did recover very well. Only having 2 bananas and 5 pints of beer have left me feeling a bit run down!

Orienteering warm up/down 15:00 [2]

did a warm up and a warm down, with GG. It was good to catch up.

People do say don't try something new on a race day, maybe this warm up warm down is something I should do more off.
11 AM

A chasing sprint laugh not sure what the public thought of us charging around. Kept my head at times, although missing control '52' cost me dear. i reckon i could have got 6th place......

Cycling 2:00:00 [4]

Must work out distances. But a great little loop of Hebden Bridge, Jack Bridge, Pack Horse and Hard Castle Craggs. Then stopped for a few drinks at the Blue Pig at Cragg and then another at the Stubbings Wharf.

Managed to avoid drinking at the Cider Festival (at the Stubbing) and falling in the canal on the ride home!
