Tough ride for me today. I thought i had recovered so well from Furious 3 but being back on the bike did not feel great. Rode in Braig Creek area. Was a lot of hike a bike for me today initially. Really enjoyed the decent though. Had a nice dinner after with Mike, VJ, and their friend Mike.

Day 3 Furious 3. Great day. Sunshine was out. Rode a lot more true cross country trails. The last climb of the day was up Hyperventillation, across Castle Rock, and then down Southern Comfort. Southern Comfort was absolutely beautiful and super fun long descent through some really beautiful wild flowers. Crossed the finish line thrilled to be done having really enjoyed the day. Also feeling completely spent. Could not have ridden another day.

Day 2 of Furious 3. Started the day after a great long sleep. Felt i was much more mentally prepared to ride up then down, then up then down.... you get the picture. Started at Fernie Mtn Resort and actually really enjoyed the riding there despite intermittent rain all day. The mud started to really pile up mid day and started to really cause some challenges. The climb up Project 9 was hainous. Not ridable and actually almost not walkable b/c the mud was so slippery. Overall the day properly took at least an hour longer b/c of the challenging sticky mud. I'm pretty sure i carried 5 lbs extra all full of mud. My tires never looked so big and never have had so little traction. Despite all these challenges i still enjoyed the riding better than Day 1.
