Run 2:10:00 [3]
Started off as a nice run at Williamson Lake with Logan and Bart. Loved re-connecting with these trails a few weeks ago so we thought we'd go back. Then drove 500 m to put the car in a better spot with Logan and started up Crowbar. Was frustrating b/c i basically had to hike it with occasional running. Was too steep and couldn't settle my HR. Planned to do both upper RMR loops but was so tired only managed the one closest to Crowbar. Then 30 mins from the bottoms i rolled my ankle. Sat down for a few minutes and then tested it out. Bit sore but i'll be fine thank heavens. 30 mins later i heard a prolonged blood curtling scream from Bart. And it wasn't just once, he kept repeating it. I started to freak out and yell "i'm coming" but at the same time totally terrified of what i was going to have to deal with. Only to find him angry because the laceration he spent the night getting fixed at the hospital tore open again when he tripped and again landed on his elbow. Spent the rest of the morning then at the hospital getting his elbow debrided and cleaned for 1.5 hours. Oh Bart. I'm starting to feel like trail running is almost more dangerous than mtn biking. This is Bart's third fall in 4 weeks.
