Fun new adventure to Standard Basin and beyond. Bit tough mentally knowing it wasn't a point to point or a loop. The trail beyond was much rougher but still there was a trail. The initial part was in the forest. But then we ended up in the basin which was really beautiful. I actually think it was just as spectacular to have stopped and turned around in the basin then to push our bikes up as the view wasn't as nice. Plus it started to rain and got cold so it put a temporary damper on our excitement. The rain only lasted 20 minutes and then it got sunny again for a while. Overall a great day with Vikki, Russ, and Bart. Fun to do something new.

4 Lap loop 8 km each around the ski hill then finished up part way up to mid-station. Beautiful finish but totally grulling. I managed to keep up with Atsuko and Nicola the full way but totally died on the final climb. Not used to that intensity for that long.

Early morning run with Atsuko. Not sure i would have gotten out of bed if she hadn't asked me to go with her at 6:30. Glad i did.

Dirty Feet race in Revy. Was very muggy but not too warm today. Was pleasantly surprised how many locals where there today. Started the morning with granola and a latte. I was worried i might have overdone it but i felt fine when i ran. Didn't really start to suffer until about 7.5 km. Was the first time i felt i had to walk. The last few km felt terrible though, my body was not used to the pounding. Really didn't have a finishing kick at all. But happy to have participated in the first ever race in Revy.
