Road Biking 1:00:00 [3] 20.0 km (3:00 / km)

Early morning hilly ride around our cottage. Was great to have bikes just to break things up. Then went snorkelling and attempted to boogie board. They had boards to use at the place we were staying. It seemed harder than we both remembered.

Road Biking 2:30:00 [3] 49.0 km (3:04 / km) +1015m 2:46 / km

Beautiful ride north of Kapalua. Could have sworn we biked for longer. Lots of rolling hills. The steepest early on was a 20% grade. I was so close to walking my bike but persevered. It was very hot. The ride was saved by a school bus making shakes close to our turnaround point. Bart has learned this summer that a sugary drink seems to save me when i'm at my lowest points. :)

Swim 30:00 [3]

Post ride snorkel which turned into a swim/snorkel. We found the spot biking. But the water wasn't as clear as yesterday. But we found 2 turtles. I love those guys.

Paddling 1:00:00 [3]

Super fun day. Early morning snorkel. I managed to swim through schools of fish (minor panic - but so much better than a few years ago). Then we stopped to swim with sea turtles and out swam a monk seal. The tour company was so excited as well. It was very playful.

Then we rented SUP and went for an 1.5 hour paddle. My paddle was a bit too short and not as nice as the one we used on the coast in September so there was a learning curve to figure out how to paddle it. But what a day. Clear blue waters. You dip in whenever you want. I'd own one if i lived here for sure.

Road Biking 1:20:00 [3] 31.0 km (2:35 / km)

Rented bikes so went for an afternoon spin to the end of the road and back. The lat 3 km towards the turn around was terrible road. But the views were beautiful. Tough climbs back to our cottage.

Swim 30:00 [3] 1.4 km (21:26 / km)

Last swim on Kauai. Going to miss these ocean swims. Saw lots of nice fish today including two rays. Makes it so much more interesting.

Hiking 1:00:00 [3] 5.5 km (10:55 / km) +200m 9:14 / km

Hike along the coast in Poipu. Thought I was energetic until we got going. Found a nice spot to have snack and then headed back to the car.

Hiking 7:00:00 [3] 30.0 km (14:00 / km) +1600m 11:03 / km

Hiked to the 9 mile section of the Kalalau on the Na Pali coast. The first section was so terribly wet. Loved the trail after 6.5 miles where it got dryer and so much more spectacular. Kept us hiking longer than planned. Finished the day with a lovely swim at the beach at the trail head.

Yoga 35:00 [3]

Yoga on our lanai. Very beautiful environment. Did it on a towel though which made it a bit tougher!

Swim 28:00 [3] 1.45 km (19:19 / km)

Started the day with a mid-morning snorkel. Saw some pretty fish but not as pretty as when we were in the Philippines. Then later in the day went for 28 min swim. Wasn't as far across the bay this time so had to do 3 laps. The bonus was a sea turtle we swam over.

Swim 35:00 [3] 1.75 km (20:00 / km)

Early morning swim on Salt Pond Beach in Hanapepe. Started the swim with a beautiful rainbow as it poured rain on our drive over. Love swimming in salt water but forgot how hard it can be to swim in waves. Felt like at times i was moving nowhere. Saw someone standup paddle boarding. Got to do that when we get to Maui.

Run 1:22:00 [3] 10.0 km (8:12 / km)

Run along some trails by Donkey beach. Happened upon some mountain biking trails. We were planning a hike but it was not very hilly so running seemed like a better idea until it became way too hot!
