Lovely post call ride with Atsuko. So glad she called. I slept only 3 hours last night and might not have gotten out without her. On the plus side i delivered the Canada day Revy baby early this morning.

Scouting run for the next Fiver x-country race with Bart and Logan. Was warm in the sun but nice in the shade. Trying out some new shoes. Seemed good at first but then the heels started to slip, my feet went numb. Bloody hell. What is the matter with my feet.... I'm hoping it will just go away as i run in them more. My Saloman's are pretty much toast after the Nootka trail.

Crossfit 50:00 [3]

Mtn Biking 1:18:59 [3] 11.42 km (6:55 / km) +391m 5:54 / km

Fiver Enduro Race. Interesting event. I could see the appeal. Easy pedal up and then try to push it on the way down. Totally different crowd than the cross country races.

First descent my legs were on fire because it was long. The second one was shorter and i was getting more into it. The 3rd descent i was dreading because it is a trail i never ride I was scared someone would catch me and so couldn't do my normal roll into things and decide if i would ride it. Instead i jumped off and ran down 3 steeps sections and continued on my bike. Maybe i should go back and check it out.

Finished at the new Eagle Pass Lodge. Got a free Mtn Begbie pint and supper. Then won the grand prize - 2 nights for 2 peeps at Sol Mtn this summer. Not a bad day!

Early morning flow session. Back to a very busy 2 weeks of work. Was hoping this would ground me a bit.

Crossfit 50:00 [3]

With the dread of work i couldn't sleep so went to crossfit at 6.

Warmup: 200 m row, 10 squats, 10 lunges x 3
5 x 6 deadlifts at 80% - 132 lbs
WOD: 15 thrusters, 12 pulls ups - strict, 9 T2B x 4 rounds, didn't quite finish in the 15 min time cut off - felt super tired for this section.

Very hot mtn bike ride in Merritt. Glad we rode but i was so overheated on the way up i was pretty miserable.
