SUP 30:00 [3]

Testing out some boats at Kal Lake. Bart was testing out some faster SUPs.

Mtn Biking 2:00:00 [3]

Final ride before starting to make our way home. Did the Nimby and Middle Earth Climb. Both were nice but felt like a long way up despite the trail being interesting with it's ups and downs. Rained while we rode and was lovely. Although the rocks were then slick and my confidence plummeted for the descent.

Run 2:13:00 [3] 12.0 km (11:05 / km) +800m 8:19 / km

Hike/run up the High Note trail in Whistler. Did the reverse route that was suggested as the route suggested has a net down and we preferred the exercise and less knee discomfort. Unfortunately very smoky. Wow this trail would be spectacular if you could see something. Then took the Peak to Peak across and back just to experience it. Look forward to coming back here in December to ski. Trail was quite technical and it seems my shoes get in the way of everything!

SUP 2:30:00 [3]

Drove to Whistler and paddled around Green Lake and then 1/2 way up the River of Golden Dreams and back down. The river run was fun but not enough water to do the full thing. Some adventure; pulling the board over beaver dams, using new techniques moving around the board to manage the corners and avoid getting knocked into the water because of the intermittent areas os shallow water. Overall a fun paddle. Would love the paddle the river with higher waters. Finished the day with a great sushi feed and delicious local Summer Saison craft beer.

Mtn Biking 2:30:00 [3]

Camping at Alice Lake. Feeling quite tired at first because sleep often escapes me while camping. Rode directly from the camp site which was nice. Down trails included Leave of Absences , Rupert (not quite what i remembered), Man Boobs (the mannequin was scary), Robs and Cliffs, then back to Leave of Absence to ride it better.

Mtn Biking 2:00:00 [3]

Brutally hot day. Started at 11:30 which was way too late. Rode with Mark, Anthony, and Bart. Rode up the climbing trail to Half Nelson. Always such a fun trail. Then rode Fools Gold, Another Mans...., and finally Hoods in the Woods.

Mtn Biking 4:45:00 [3] 40.0 km (7:08 / km) +1600m 5:56 / km

Epic day with the same gang as yesterday on the new Whistler Alpine trail. Wasn't sure if i was going to be alright given how i felt yesterday but had better energy today just some mild stomach cramps. Enjoyed the climb up Into the Mystic. It was said to be really punchy but it was nothing compared to yesterday's climbing in Pemberton. The out and back on On the Rocks was was the true highlight of the day. The view at the end of the trail was beautiful. Then down Lord of the Squirrels which was not as much fun as i had hoped. A bit too loose and rutted. Some spots i was scared to ride. Apparently it was much better a few weeks earlier. Will be interesting to see how this trail holds up. Once Lord of the Squirrels trail was finished i think most of us were done but it was still about another 45 mins of riding to get out. Was tired but enjoyed Danimal the final trail. Finished with a dip in Rainbow park.
