3. day 3-day-event in Mietraching, DBK Ultralong.
LL 7,0km, 355hm; Chasing start.
After 2 days I was leading in the D21AK and had to start in front of all the others. Because of my lack of training, the long illness and the long course I had no hope of defending this lead, but decided to try to fight for a place in the Top3. In the end I ended up second after a allright race with a lot of spiked controls, lot of hard running and to silly, unnecessary mistakes. But even without the mistakes I think I wouldn't have been able to defend the lead.
To 2: started looking for the control a bit to early, lost about 45s
To 6: unsure, lost maybe about 45s again
To 7: a bit slow and woobly, 30s
To 9: searched one rock face to early, lost at least 1:30, maybe 2 min. Was overtaken there by the winner
To 11: Not sure if a more direct routechoice would have been faster. Also took one wrong turn and got a bit too far left before the first clearing. Maybe 1 min. lost?
To 15: Silliest mistake of the weekend. Was totally exhausted, made a 90 degree mistake when entering the forest from the clearing and searched for the control directly over the finish, even looked down on the finish but didn't understand what's wrong. Took me more than 3 minutes to figure out what happened. 3:30 lost :(

2. Day of the 3-days-event in Mietraching, also BRL middle distance.
LL 3,1km, 110hm
Bought new shoes before the competition and had to try them out. Yeah, I like them very much :)
Running was surprisingly OK, but the orienteering wasn't. Made some silly mistakes...
To 1: Came a bit too far down and had to climb up again, maybe 30s lost
To 2: Silliest mistake in a while. Wanted to run on the path alongside the hill, should be relatively flat. Instead my path climbed and climbed and climbed and I took me a long time to realize that this couldn't be the flat path I thought I'm running along. Made 50m of unnecassery climb and lost about 3-4 minutes there. Silly :(
To 3: Not sure about the route choice, because runnability was very bad. Andrea was about 1 min. faster on the route around the hill, but said she was lucky to find the control immediately.
After the first 3 controls the orienteering got better and I spiked the rest...

Note

As I was still ill, I wasn't sure over the last days if I should go to the 3-days-event in Mietraching or skip it for another weekend full of rest. In the end I decided to go because the weather forecast wasn't to bad and it turned out OK.

Orienteering Competion race 22:57 intensity: (14 @1) + (1:11 @2) + (1:52 @3) + (12:28 @4) + (7:12 @5) **** 2.0 km (11:29 / km) +50m 10:12 / km

1. Etappe 3-day-Orienteering-event Mietraching, Sprint in the forest.
LL 1,7km, 30hm
Had planned to take it very easy because I still felt not fit, but got carried away a bit and ended up running faster than planned. Maybe not at 100%, but definitely 90%. Nice sprint, just the 500m running on a big trail on the way to the first control was boring.
Quickroute and more details will follow.
To 1: Around 1:30 mistake because I came to far left and to far down and it took me a moment to realize what happened
to 3: Could have been a bit more direct, maybe 15-20s faster should have been possible

Bike (Tour) 2:47:40 [1] 44.0 km (3:49 / km)
(sick)

Spontaneous Easter Monday Tour with my boyfriend. Totally flat, but with lots of non-Asphalt-ways. Slow, but that was OK, because I didn't want to overdo it as I'm still feeling ill and unfit. Nice tour, but next time I should be better prepared and have some bike trousers with me - long tours in jeans hurt ;)
