Some friends visiting this weekend for some walking in Wales, so no Sugar Loaf fell race. Fitted the Newport Parkrun in, instead. Despite it being our nearest parkrun, our first time there. A lot nicer than MC had lead me to believe.

Concentrating more on trying to keep an even pace rather than chasing a time.

Checking things for the Welsh league at Cwm Lickey. All good. Got most of it done before the weather broke.

First MDC "summer" run of the year. Up to the Chartists cave from Rassau. Over where GD44 was going to build the motor cycle race circuit untill the Welsh Gov't concluded it was a bit of a risky investment.

Large group, which stayed as one, so quite a few significant regrouping breaks. Some newbies which was good. Surprised by how many folk had never been to the Chartist cave, I guess I shouldn't have been.

Ashton Court with Keith, Meg and Ben. Ben and Meg seemed quite happy trot along gently, so lots of chance for a chat.

Very steady old gits run around the old Waun Fach race route. Sunny to start, but very windy and cool in the cloud as we got higher up. Fortunately cleared to sunshine by the time we got to descend the dragons back ridge.

Fun sociable outing.

An excellent new tea shop in Crickhowel - "The Pantry".
