Run 15:26 [3] 1.56 km (9:54 / km) +114m 7:15 / km

Journeyed back home from Lakes via North Wales to cheer on Anwen as she took on the Dragon's Back race.

Saw her at the start in Conway Castle. Met up with Kris and her folks - great to see Delyth as well - and saw Anwen at the first mountain pass. Then ran with Kris up from Pen Gwyrd to cheer her on at Pen y Pas.

Also saw various MDCrs past and present.
12 PM

Run 1:27:10 [4] 7.01 km (12:26 / km) +736m 8:09 / km

Whilst Anwen went up via Crib Coch, Alice and I ran up Snowdon via the Miners track - well really, ran the gentler bits and walked the steeper bits - I was feeling quite tired. Met Kris there again and able to give her another cheer. Looking realy good.

Walked down via Y Lliwedd with Dragon's backers passing us all the time - especially on the down hill bits.

Brown midlle race on Stickle Pike. Somehow much more interesting than the previous day.

Some slight kinks in the splisbrowsert lne, but mainly down to route chocie not avoiding some of the bouldery parts rather than not finding the controls.

Thoroughly enjoyable

Perfectly enjoyable race, and I had as strright a splits browser line as I can ever recall, but a bit of the pace. And i have certainly had more interesting courses on this area.

Run 1:05:18 [3] 7.34 km (8:54 / km) +383m 7:03 / km

Loop from Edale coming back down Grindsbrook Clough which was a bit of a mistake - far too rocky for me to run given my ankles.

Took in the Aretha Franklin movie in Sheffield. Brilliant film. The record has long been one of my favourites, but the film is even more remarkable. Absolutely rivettimg.

Run 1:48:18 [3] 16.65 km (6:30 / km) +307m 5:57 / km

In the Peaks for a few days in between meetings. With weather being so nice, Alice and I decided to make a holiday of it whilst on route to Lakes.

Lovely loop taking in Miller's Dale and the Monsail trail, both of which were new to me.

Bumped into Clare Howes and Brian Hughes. Not sure who was most surprised.
