Orienteering 54:08 [4] 7.2 km (7:31 / km) +100m 7:02 / km

WMOC long final. Another fantastic forest. Not as fast as the others with a bit of bilberry , so I think it got faster for later runners. My own fault for cocking up the middle. But this race was ok, apart from a minute miss on no 1 .

Run 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

Warm up along beach to the start.

Orienteering 30:52 [3] 3.54 km (8:43 / km)

Long model. Gentle jog out, checking out marshes and semi open. Lightning fast and flat forest. Given the published course lengths, I can't believe the final will be as quick.

Orienteering race 33:28 [4] 4.95 km (6:46 / km)

WMOC middle final. Started of really well. Caught my one minute man and proceeded to lose concentration, changed plan for a path route, didn't keep track of where I was, and then compounded things by being dreadful at relocation . 3-4 mins binned. Cocked up next one as well. Steadied myself - I really didn't want to end up relegated. So slower but clean , before speeding back up for the last few.

Very dissatisfied with my performance, had really been looking forward to the race and neither forest or course disappointed.

Run 20:00 [3] 2.0 km (10:00 / km)

Jog to start, before some faster bits in the forest with the warm up map.

Orienteering race 38:34 [4] 6.39 km (6:02 / km) +43m 5:50 / km

Forest Qualifier.

Lovely fast forest. Quite pleased with my run. Only one significant problem when I lost confidence, thought I had gone too far, turned back for 50m before deciding I was an idiot and retraced my steps to where I had been and on to the control - perhaps a minute or so.
