Mountain Bike 2:19:20 [3] 35.1 km (3:58 / km) +424m 3:45 / km

Out on the Bike with Alice. Down the canal to Newport, cycle track to Caerleon, and back via a load of lanes we had never been down before. Hardly any cars, so a really enjoyable cycle.

Very short loop down the lane, thru Mescoed mawr and back. Didn't feel up to very much more. All this work in tthe garden is taking its toll.....

With Alice up the Sirhowy back down the Rhymney. Saddle sore by the end. Still not a cyclist.

Run 58:53 [3] 8.07 km (7:18 / km) +348m 6:00 / km

Stopped work in the garden soon after lunch, to preserve enough energy for a run up Twmbarlwm with Alice.

No traffic on the lane, but quite a few small family groups availing themselves of their daily exercise allowance.

Strength & Conditioning 1:00:00 [2]

Remedying 20 years of neglect in the garden the perfect task for weeks of Covid lock down. Starting to fix the collapsing walls around the compost heap - a lot of digging, wheelbarrowing and shifting boulders and breeze blocks.

Too knackered for a run afterwards.

Mountain Bike 1:55:00 [3] 24.28 km (4:44 / km) +521m 4:17 / km

The lane past our house up to Twmbarlwm had been really busy on Sunday afternooon- not sure I had ever seen it busier- so went out on our bikes pretty promptly in the morning - a few more walkers than normal but nothing like the pictures of Pen Y Fan on the TV. Cwm Carn and the canal also OK.
