Running long (Trail) 3:01:00 [3] 16.35 mi (11:04 / mi) +4800ft 8:40 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Montrail Streak

Long run

I did this week at Mount Falcon which has a big 2100ft climb in 3 miles from east to west parking lots, did this twice and added a few side trails on second time up to add on more distance. Great run, felt strong but hiked a lot of the big climbs at a fast hiking pace. Not totally wiped, felt like I could have kept going.

Running (Treadmill) 20:00 [2] 2.25 mi (8:53 / mi)
slept:8.0 shoes: Montrail Streak

Recovery run easy on the treadmill. Thinking about starting a streak just for fun. Legs little sore and this helped loosen them, massage was cancelled and moved to Sunday.

Today's run was more of a mental challange than physical but I hung on. After tempo started feeling better so bumped it up 1mph faster than normal. Good run

After run to spin out legs

Weights 15:00 [3]

Upper body lifts only, sets of 12 reps and kept moving to keep HR up alittle, 8 lifts

Running (Trail) 1:00:00 [3] 6.0 mi (10:00 / mi) +1400ft 8:11 / mi
slept:7.0 shoes: Montrail Streak

Recovery run

Normal wed night run with group at Green Mountain. About 5-7 mins of this was spent waiting for the group to regroup.

Felt pretty good today considering how many hills I've done last 3 days.

Running (Trail) 1:33:00 [3] 9.75 mi (9:32 / mi) +2500ft 7:40 / mi
slept:7.0 shoes: Saucony Xodus

Med long run with 6-8 fartleks

Combine a couple of my favorite loops on Green Mountain for a great run today in great weather (65 degrees). Did about 7 fartleks, some uphill so slow, some downhill so very fast, and some on flats for true 5k pace.

Tired after run but not totally wiped, legs feel ok. My feet are a little beat up so not sure if these new shoes are going to work or not.

Running (Trail) 45:00 [4] 5.0 mi (9:00 / mi) +1100ft 7:27 / mi
slept:7.0 weight:179lbs shoes: Saucony Xodus

Recovery run

Ran up John Hayden trail which is 2.5 miles and 900ft of gain, ave incline is 7%, I topped out in 23:03 which is one of my faster runs up this trail. This turned into hill tempo workout, felt good so I went with it. Easy run down to the car. Felt pretty good today.

I am going to start tracking times on this course with goal being to get as close to 20 as I can.

Weights 20:00 [3]

8 lifts total body after run on the way home
