Started South Mesa- to Bear Canyon to top of Green Mt and back. Legs pretty sore from the massage yesterday especially in the calves where I had most of the work done.

Ice bath after the run to try help with the soreness in the calves. Seemed to work, going to do another one tonight.

Run up Lookout Mt. Worked really hard on keeping HR under 160, my max was 161. Felt good with lower HR and was still faster than last week.

Note

Got an hour massage working the whole time in calves, hamstrings, glutes and IT bands. Hope that will help loosen things up. Going to try to go at least once a month.

MAF effort then 6 X 1:00 hill strides with HR cap of 170, went a little over on HR on a couple of them. Big dip after first stride is running into JV and chatting with him a little.

Between meetings, food poisoning (I think), bad food at work I was tired bloated and feeling like shit when I got off work aka unmotivated to run. Took the day off, 1st day in March with a 0 miles.

Went for MAF run after work due to meetings all day at work. At about mile 5 I lost my bowels. I have NEVER had this happen before. Did the walk of shame home (thank god was close to home) with it running down my legs. Was sick on the pot all night and this morning. Think I got a little food poisoning from the lunch meeting we had a new Mexican restaurant.
