Easy morning ride around Leadville area before driving home. Wanted to ride the course to Twin Lakes but it was blocked off with a do not enter sign so just went up to the backside Mount Massive trailhead then back around town. Felt better as the ride went along.

Leadville Marathon. So Leadman begins. Not a bad day, was shooting for 5:00 to 5:15 and rolled in much quicker. Suffered from 19 miles on in the heat. Was puking at 23.5 at the top of the last climb but once I got it out I was able to jog it in. Heat kills me everytime, without the heat I think I would have been in the low 4:30s.

Easy lunch jog. Had to stop and walk for a bit about mile 2, my arms and legs went numb. Freakin weird. Everything felt heavy, think Tuesday's run is now hitting me.

11 strict pullups (set of 8 and 3) - getting closer to my goal of 10 strict in a row.

Super easy lunch jog. Did a bunch of stretching and mobility work in the parking lot after the jog.

3 mile warmup then 25 or so mins at tempo effort, then jogged it in. Hard to get rolling but once I got into the tempo section it felt natural and good.

Dog walk before work with the new weight vest. Removed weight from it to make it 30lbs. 40 was to much weight on the trap muscles. At least with the pack you put some of the weight on your hips with the belt, not with the vest.

Jog to and from the gym. Little longer on the way there.

Long warm with lots of mobility and skill work.

Finished in 7:38. The real work out was toes to bar but leg raises will have to do. I can't bend myself in half yet for toes to bar.
