Silver Rush 50 run. Everyone was trying to talk me out of starting due to my MTB time yesterday, did not need this run for Leadman but started anyways. I wanted to test out a new pack a got a few days ago, Orange Mud, and new shoes for the 100. Love them both! Ran this just a little bit over 100 mile pace, but not much. Kept today in check and still pulled out at 31st place out of 350ish and a new 50 mile PR. This helps my Leadman standings more than the bike too I think, we will find out in the next couple of days. Sore in the joints (hips mostly) but good.

Holy shit that was fun! That was the most fun I have had at a race in years. Went way above my comfort level and it paid off. Kept repeating "let it roll over the rocks and stay centered" in my head as I was going downhill. I never would have been able to do this just 3 months ago. So fun to make such leaps and bounds in a new sport. Tired energy wise afterwards but ok.

Easy shake out ride in Leadville. Started to feel the quad/hip a little at the end of the ride but not painful, more just like numb in that area. We will see what happens tomorrow.

Easy lunch run with 6 striders at the end. Felt slow and out of shape, like I have lost everything I gained. In my mind I know that is not true but feel that way.

Wow what a weight jump. Need to reel in the eating this week, especially with the cut in work this week. I was eating more on purpose to put on a couple of pounds but went a little overboard. I don't want to get below 160 to soon, I can't maintain that and feel good for long periods of time.

Decided to take another rest day. The quad is feeling a lot better and I figured another rest day would do it good. Will test it tomorrow with a short trail run.
