I gambled at the beginning trying to keep the top 3 within touch taking over 3rd from mile 17 to mile 38ish where Karl passed me as I was puking on top of Manns Peak. Fell all the way back to 15th or so at the next aid station at mile 42 while I took about 35mins to get my stomach and energy back then just rolled from there ending in 4th. At the mile 51 aid I think Karl was about 1.5hours to 2 hours up on me and I was able to cut it down to about 25mins by the end. I was moving so well from mile 80 to the finish, even dropped my pacer. LOL... such an awesome day with friends. LOVED IT!!! First time actually racing a 100 verses just going out and finishing one. I had the goal of sub 24 in my head but feel ok about not hitting since only the top 2 broke 24hours. Karl did not even break 24...

Got to Grand Juction last night. Easy run early this morning from the hotel on city roads. Heading to Moab later today after working remotely all day, only about a 90min drive from here. Added a day to the house I rented there so I can check in today at the house verses tomorrow. Wanted to make sure I was sleeping well and not stressing and think this is the best approach. Trying to see Sonja in Fruita before I leave town but not sure that will happen.

Silly easy jog with Bob just chilling out and talking all things. Legs felt heavy and I feel tired even with enough sleep but think it is all good. Still on the fence on when to leave but tomorrow morning will be the latest. Lots to do to get things lined up at work still.
