Run 40:00 [3]
shoes: Blue Swoops 3
Steady climb up to moor edge and faster contour and descent.
Or at least that was I intended. Came across a small-ish fire in the woods and spotted a group of youths nearby. I diverted through the terrain towards them, thinking mainly of borrowing a phone to dial 999, and they scattered. They were going well for a while then some split off and the others turned up hill. That wasn't good news for the 2 kids at the back who I caught quite soon afterwards. I wish something heroic happened, but no. Eventually found someone with a phone and made the call, and heard the siren start up down in town. Continued my run, conscience clear. Descended past the fire site expecting at the very least to see a dramatic battle between Cleveland Fire Service's best and the elements, but it wasn't to be. The flames, previously 2m high, were almost gone and there was no sign of the fire fighters. They may have been called somewhere else. Who knows.
Anyway, 4 GSW, displaying sparrowhawk, two male tawnies, 2 pipistrelles in the garden and a whole new heap of frogspawn. It's spring.
Oh , and legs felt fine.
