NZ Road Relay Champs (Takahe-Akaroa), Lap 7, Hill City Senior mens.

Team had the lead from leg 1 all the way to the bottom of the hill (leg 6). But Hayden was nursing an injured calf and lost a few minutes on the climb. I got sent off in 3rd. Struggled along the summit road, legs hadn't recovered properly from the last two big weeks, felt like I was running through mud on the uphills with the headwind. Was fine once I hit the turn off and manage to rattle off some sub-3's down to Duvauchelle. Team held onto third which was a pretty big effort considering the size and depth of the other clubs.
