Orienteering race 1:40:02 [4] *** 5.77 km (17:20 / km) +204m 14:44 / km
spiked:11/12c shoes: Trail NB 704 8.5D

Red Middle course at Baldwin Hill, straight line 4.72 km. All pretty good except for a miss and not-pretty relocation effort to Red #4 (same as Blue leg 5-6). First attempt to relocate failed when the large (~2m) boulder I saw was not on the map and therefore of no help. (If only I'd gone east from there instead of heading west to the large marsh...). Did well on the others, anyway, and it was a beautiful day to be in the woods (upper 50s to near 60, and sunny). Worth the drive (sorry, ndobbs, if you're reading).

EDIT: Added FR track; QR later, maybe

EDIT2: Okay, the boulder was on the map, but not mapped as a large boulder. And the "large" boulder in the marsh I relocated on is also not mapped as a large boulder. Amazing that I even relocated okay, since I was going from the wrong point! Huh.

Didn't want to do treadmill or elliptical so walked on the track for about a mile (or so; lost count of laps, but probably a mile). Then got bored, so I jogged the next mile...

With elastic bands. Skipped the reverse and side planks; I can do modified exercises in their place that don't stress my shoulder.

Straight elliptical, no program. 1.15 miles, per the machine. Warmup at base level, then 17 min at incline 10 resistance 20, then 3 min cooldown at 5/15.

Largest class I've been in since we've been in the current location--21 plus instructor. Crowded!

My right heel, which keeps threatening PF this fall after wearing my O shoes, feels much better this evening than it did all day yesterday when I could barely get moving (but it's okay once I'm moving...). Wish I could find replacements that fit my feet and have a bit of support! Trail shoes just don't cut it in rocky or slippery terrain.
