Tuscarora State Park north of Tamaqua and west of Jim Thorpe, PA. 67F and partly to mostly sunny...a beautiful day for a hike with Glen.
We hiked around the lake. The Spirit of Tuscarora trail near the beginning splits at one point and we took the trail closer to Locust Creek...which was underwater in a few places, so we had to bushwhack. Fortunately the floodplain didn't have too many scratchy things. Some parts of the trail beyond the flooded part were quite wet (we had 1.25" rain yesterday) but most of the hike was on dry trails.
Heard a bunch of birds, saw a pileated woodpecker cross the road while we drove to the park, and saw a snake near the flooded trail (I thought it was a muddy milk snake; but after comparing my photo to others, think it was a northern watersnake).
My legs were a bit tired from yesterday, so I started losing steam about halfway through, but we made it. I had one hiking pole along, which was a big help on the muddy sections and side-hill stream crossings.

65 F and mostly cloudy but no rain. Wanted hills bit not the normal loop, so headed up Spring Rd ... and up and up, until I reached the top, then turned around. Felt fine (strong) until the last stretch from near the road bend but kept chugging. Then I got to come back down.
Stopped a couple places to take pictures of wildflowers -- bugle and dame's rocket among them.

A few jogging spurts, but mostly hiking on the South Park hike/mtbike trail at Nockamixon SP. Low to mid-60s and mostly sunny.
Stopped my watch to take pics at the Gnome Home, and again when I encountered Glen on his bike (these trails can be gnarly in places, so I haven't ridden in this part). Didn't stop it while I took pics of flowers near the end.
