Neighborhood. 70 and humid, after several rounds of scattered showers today.

West End Regional Park trails, staying within the section on the North side.

80s and sunny (in the parking lot; trails were shaded).

Biking (Dirt/gravel) 32:47 intensity: (40 @0) + (1:07 @1) + (4:54 @2) + (15:45 @3) + (10:21 @4) 4.42 km (7:25 / km) +26m 7:13 / km

West End Regional Park (N of Wind Gap) bike trails. Explored where Roundabout went off the S end (from the junction with the rusted wagon), then redid some trails I rode earlier.

Hiked some of the Lehigh Parkway bike trails while Glen ran. When I reached the field near the entrance to the park I figured I needed to head back. Wore Donjoy ankle brace just to be on the safe side.

Tons of shade, temps in the low 80s, no bugs. Enough broken glass on the trail--and logovers--that I wouldn't want to ride my bike there.

Beltzville SP from boat launch on S side, heading east. Double wide forest trail much of the way out, then, after crossing a large reentrant, singletrack through rhododendrons on the side of the hill until I reached a downed tree fairly well blocking the way. It was time to turn around anyway.

On the way back took a singletrack trail that climbed to another level and parallelled the doubletrack back towards where I started.

Upper 70s, low humidity, nice!

Used Donjoy ankle brace because Glen had warned of uneven trails.

One rhody bloom:

West End Regional Park, to check out what the bike trails there were like. The part we walked on was on the easy side but would be fun for me (there was both a gravel loop and some tame, mostly flat singletrack trails, a few with logovers or other skill-builders). Other trails might be tricky for me but fun for Glen.

Walking (dirt) 48:34 intensity: (26:39 @0) + (15:28 @1) + (5:58 @2) + (29 @3) 1.2 km (40:38 / km) +19m 37:42 / km

Cherry Valley National Wildlufe Refuge. Great birding area; we saw two cedar waxwings, heard prairie warblers and towhees, and saw robins, swallows, a common yellowthroat pair. ;-)

Hilly enough that it would be better to come back on a cooler day to explore more of the trail system.

Tyler DIY Middle 2 at Tyler SP in Bucks Co; 4.1 km, 130m climb claimed (maybe they're 2.5m contours?). UsynligO timing.

Ankle doing much better than last week so I just "taped as normal for O". It was fine and I was able to jog a bit on trails.

Took the HTFU route from 10-11, crossing the green / slash area between two trails. Ugh. Raspberry *and* multiflora rose. Tried to step on them as much as possible; I didn't get too scratched up.

Glen had finished earlier and could see which controls I had visited, and was sitting near the covered bridge he knew I'd have to pass on the leg from 12-13. ;-)

Good training. Low 80s, again; it clouded up some; otherwise it could be oppressive.

Lehigh Parkway gravel trails while Glen explored the Mtb trails he'd run on Sunday. Upper 70s with lower humidity and a nice NW breeze. Lots of other folks, no masks.

I'd done the whole length on one side of the Little Lehigh and back the other side as far as the road runner's clubhouse, then headed back north to perhaps investigate a mtb trail Glen had run on, but then I found Glen with a flat tire. We consulted, and I headed back to bring the car around to where he was waiting for me.

Neighborhood after dinner. An extra loop at Hopewell Park, then once around our community. Temp near 80 at start, dropping some after the sun set.
