From parking area at Herring Point, Cape Henlopen SP, south to the far end of Gordons Pond, and back, plus some trails north of Herring Point as far as Ft Miles. Another great low-humidity day, with only scattered clouds, though the temp is starting to rise (it's been in the 70s all week; it was mid-80s while we were riding today). Nice.
Saw prickly pear cacti in bloom (yellow flowers), and snowy egrets on the pond (water looked to be at a low level); not too many birds there.

From condo to dock at the bay, then returned via nature trail; low to mid 70s and breezy.
Beach day! We parked 4-5 blocks from the ocean at Rehoboth Beach, so today's 11,000+ steps include getting to and from the ocean, a bit on the boardwalk, and other miscellaneous walking. 70s and mostly sunny.

Around neighborhoods in the Peninsula community, trying to keep up with Glen. Last time I biked here I covered more roads and rode about 12 more minutes. Gorgeous low humidity day with temps in the mid-upper 70s.

Core Creek Co Park Green, 5.6 km, 100m climb, 1:7500 map; courses by Sam K. Low 70s and humid, with some breaks of sun but mostly overcast.
Pretty clean on everything (partly because I was going slow enough), though I messed up the route choice on the last control...should have stayed up between the woods and oob parking lot but I hadn't taken a close look, so I lost a bit there looping around the woods and climbing back up to the tree.
Route choice legs: -L to 4 -R to 6 -R to 7 -Main trail in to 10 and same way out -Between lots to 12 -Back to road and N trail along water to 13...Glen caught me here -L on trails to 14 -Main trail to parking lots then out to road to 15 -Road to end of yellow then through woods to 16 -S to trail, but after seeing 17 was on N side (foot) of embankment I headed up to the road. Fell on the way in and bruised my left knee. Glen caught up again after attempting to cut through the vertical green between 13-14 -Across rocks 18-19, then R of woods -R of parking lot, buildings to trail, to 22 -Idiot move* S around woods to 23 instead of noticing the gap between oob parking and woods (*my "non-spike" due to bad route choice)
Nice change of pace from the woods orienteering I've been doing, and I actually jogged some on the downhills and across the big field (the first time, 7-8)
Thanks to Sam, Lena, Dave M, and the other volunteers who made this event possible!
