Glentress Half Trail Race. Pleased with the time, going 13mins quicker than 2 years ago. Paced it well and just really enjoyed the race. Ran in about 8th for the first half just off the back of a small group. Then on the main climb, I pulled through and managed to gap them all by the top and kept hold of 5th for the last 7km. Great route and well organised race, fully recommend

Hilly long run. Did the Run of the Mill race route with Graham getting blasted by some high winds on top of Ben Cleuch. Graham then headed home on the bike while I finished off my long run. The plan was to go out and do another loop but with weather being grim up on the tops, I just headed up the track to Ben Buck Burn then turned ran back down, then did a loop into Alva Glen. Good solid run with some fueling but didn't get as much climb as I'd intended. Still feeling good at what is a very easy sustained pace.

SOL event in Grantown. Amazing forest, this is why I orienteer. Would of liked the course to be double the distance. It would be nice for SOL in forest like this to offer a classic course.

Second long run. Felt good but keeping it easy. Very windy and all the paths are icy so going has been slow today/yesterday.

Up in Aviemore for the weekend with K. Drove up after work. Nice easy run round Rothiemurchus. Fell in some deep snow at one point and shredded my shin and hyperextended my knee a little (didnt find that out until the next day). No pain so alls good

Climbing with Graham, seem to be slowly stepping up the grades. A few 6a done and was a couple of moves from doing 6b. Enjoying doing something completely different. Wish there was a bigger climbing facility in Stirling

Long Ochils run. Started at Alva, Nebit, Craighorn, straight to Bengengie, Colsnaur, Blairdenon, Ben Buck, Ben Ever, Ben Cleuch, The Law, Andrew Gannel, Tarmangie, Kings Seat, down to Tilli Glen and back along the hillfoots path.

Great run out with plenty of up and down which I wanted. Snow made it that little bit harder. Eat and drank plenty. Great way to finish up a week off work and a week in the hills. The theme of this year is definitely going to be hills.
