Long Run 1:15:00 [3] 10.0 km (7:30 / km)

Longish steady run with dad. Went up the river, then to four lane ends then to and across A66, up slate fell and through town. Was gd to get out again after a week of work and not much running. Lots of core work between shifts.

Went oing at Roenhead. Was a really gd area. The Sand dunes were really nice and technical.

Cross Country 29:20 [5] 7.0 km (4:11 / km) +150m 3:47 / km

Went to the XC at Penrith. Set off in the fast pack. Set my own pace and kept it the whole way. Ran well and at the end I could of kept going at that pace for a while.

Did a nice warm up and warm down. Did loads of drills and strides.

Went to Orient8 and did the circuits. Was really gd to do it with people rather than on my own.

A slow steady long run today. Felt gd but took a while to get into it. Felt like I set a gd pace because in the past my slow runs have been a bit to fast. When I got back, it felt like I had done something so was pleased I went out. Went up the river to the mill cottages, then up to four lane ends, then to Embleton and up to the golf club. Through Setmurphy and over the hay, back through town to home.

Went to the cross country near School today for some training. Put myself in the middle pack of the seniors race. Set a nice pace for myself trying to ignore everyone else. It was a hilly cross country race with some small and big uphill sections. Felt strong the whole way round and pleased with my time. V.gd training

Cycled to and from the race and did some warming up/down when I was there.

Went to oing, it was a 45 min score in Cockermouth. Ran well and got 17 out of 20. Route choice was not.

Went to Powter How and did an interval session. Did three laps without stopping increasing my speed everytime. Each lap was 1.25km with a little hill section in the middle which was challenging. Did the 2nd lap much faster than I should of because there wasnt much between the 2nd and 3rd lap. Felt really strong on the last two laps so really pleased considering its my first interval session for a while.

1st lap - 6 mins 4 secs
2nd lap - 5 mins 25 secs
3rd lap - 5 mins 20 secs

YB qualifier at Tockholes. Really enjoyed the area. Didnt have the speed for the area tho and some of my route choice was bad. Think I lost about 5 mins and a couple of mins on speed. Overall really enjoyed today.

Sprint race at Allonby. Awful race, losed over 2 mins on number 3. Running was gd tho.
