Orienteering on Matty Benns bridge and Latterbarrow. Fast terrain, didnt really push until number 9, then made a 1 min mistake on 11 (couldn't find my attackpoint). Richard got me by 19 seconds. Used my description holder again so practised what I wanted to practise.

Run with Chris who I used to work with last summer from Grasmere, up on to Silverhow, along the ridge, down to Easedale tarn and back to Grasmere. Nice and easy enjoying the view and good crack

Did some o training on the Jaws of borrowdale map. Not as nice as I remember it but the bracken was up so was hard going. Nice technical training though.

Orienteering 38:37 [5] 6.1 km (6:20 / km) +250m 5:15 / km

Evening event on Mosser fell. 29 degrees so was tough in the heat. Took my control description holder to make myself read the descriptions. Went out hard and kept good form through the butterfly loops, then found it tough going from 12-13 which was all up hill. Pushed hard all the way to the finish, just over 4 mins on Richard in second place.

Run with Pete and Chris. We were going to do the first section of the Borrowdale to Esk Hause but pete feet where in a bad way. Went up Bessyboot and then down to Blackmoss pot for a swim/climb. Then ran back down Langstrath which turned into a race, good to get the heart rate up a little.

Was looking forward to this after watching JWOC and WOC. Solid run, lost 1 min on number 12 and about 30 seconds on 23 and 25. Rolled my ankle at 15 so sat down for about a minute, then walked and then jogged. Got running again just before 16. Good speed control in the woods (was slower because of my ankle ).

Skiddaw Fell race. Set off with a nice pace. Ended up between the front group and the everyone else. Took a couple of guys just before latrigg carpark as they got dropped by the front group. Slowly caught another couple of people, then had a battle with one of them all the way to the top. Took him on the downhill but then my feet started to blister and the bottom of my feet started to peel backwards. Lost alot of time on the last section but didn't lose anymore places. Very sore feet and struggling to walk. 13th/106
