Note

Week of skiing was cracking. Great to get out in the mountains day after day. Think the skiing has been great strength work and was skiing much better than last year so had less stress through my knees. Watched a few people ski mountaineering, looks hard work but definitely want to give it ago next winter

Tentsmuir SOL/CSC Quali. Brown course. Overall not great. Started well with solid orienteering, then lost 3 mins on #8 then just lost all bounce in terrain. Kept pushing but wasn't really happening. My nav was good from then on but couldn't get moving

Night O on Dumyat. Didn't have much in the legs tonight, nae push. Collected in controls with Will afterwards. Then the night really started. Kirsten sprained her ankle on a run on the hill so we headed to minor injuries, they were closing so went to Forth Valley hospital to check it wasnt broken. 3 hours later we left. It was about 1am by the time we got to bed. Knackered.

SOL 1 at Mugdock Country Park. Nice area with some good open forest parts with some contour details. The marshes were wet and sapped my energy, my legs never got going through them plus there were a few moments where I ended up to my waist. My focus was to get the nav right and see what my legs could do. Solid orienteering apart from one mistake on #23 losing 90 seconds. Ended up too low coming into it and hesitated too much. A few other hesitations here and there. Just need to get fitter.

Run up Ben Clench from Tillicoultry up Mill Glen. Great climb via the Law, back down via Ben Ever but missed the top as I thought it was further down on the ridge. Nice hilly run, good to get back out on the hills but very cold up top
