Orienteering 1:06:09 [4] 10.6 km (6:14 / km) +420m 5:13 / km

Bigland event. Took me ages to get running. Orienteering was ok, made a few stupid errors. Felt strong running the hills. Did feel like I pushed it. Only started to push when a guy I went past started to run fast so pushed ahead orienteering well at speed for the last four controls.

15 min cycle to Setmurphy and then a more chilled 20 mins back.

Running (Terrain Running) 40:00 [4] 7.0 km (5:43 / km) +250m 4:51 / km

Terrain running session in Setmurphy. Really good session. Felt strong. Set off in the rough forest then went into the part with windblown and ditches. Then hit the forest track and went at race pace. Then went into a long hill and pushed all the way. Then all the way along the fell top and then down through the forest.

Mosedale fell race. Started well and pushed up the hill with Chris behind and then he cut up. Then I cut up towards number 1 and then we saw Todd who took a higher route and he went into number one about 40 to 60 seconds ahead of me. Chris went in 20 seconds ahead of me. Then I took a higher route into number 2 so went into number two with Chris. Then I went left out of number 2 and took the path route which was bad, should of gone straight with the other guys. Lost alot of time doing this. Just pushed up the hill and then cruised the rest of the way to the finish. Enjoyed the race.

Went for a 4 and half hour walk up Skiddaw with Julia and one of her Uni mates.

Nice long run around Derwent water with dad. Nice evening, perfect temperature for running.
