Running 2:00:05 [4] 16.0 km (7:30 / km) +1037m 5:40 / km

Run from the hostel between shifts. Trying to start training for the mountain trial. Up Dale Head via the mines, down to honister, up the mosedale trod for abit and then head up to Greyknotts and then Brandeth ( New Wainwrights). Then went down round the bottom of Green Gable to Sour Milk Gill and down to Seathwaite. Pushed on the hills and managed to run all the way. Tough climbs up Dale Head and then Greyknotts from coming off the Mosedale trod. Pushed on the road from Seathwaite, felt strong considering the climb I had done. Really enjoyed the run.

Did a short interval session with the older juniors at a wcoc junior training in harris park.

Short run in Harris park find a good loop for some intervals tomorrow for the junior training.

Orienteering 39:03 [3] 5.0 km (7:49 / km) +150m 6:47 / km

Orienteering on Whinlatter Fell. Orienteering was good, one bad routechoice. Felt strong on the hills which I have been trying to work on. Felt sluggish and to slow for my liking in the heather. David had a fast run to take 2 and half mins out of me. Overall feeling tired from the last 4 days of split shifts at work.

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 7.5 km (6:00 / km) +250m 5:09 / km

Trail run in whinlatter between shifts. Picked a route which a longish climb at the start (about 5 mins of up hill). Felt ok keeping a tempo pace throughout.

Orienteering 1:02:00 [3] 10.0 km (6:12 / km) +350m 5:17 / km

Nice run up Watendlath fell. Pushed it a threshold pace up to the top. Pleased I ran all the way, feeling like I am getting stronger on the hills (4km in 29 mins with 340m of climb). Took it easy from the top towards Langstrath and down back to the hostel.
