Orienteering race 1:45:20 [5] 9.9 km (10:38 / km) +610m 8:08 / km

Classic race on Graythwaite. Really enjoyed the challenge of a physical and technical race. Steady race with a couple mistakes (6 mins) in the last third of the race. Some good positive orienteering as well and pleased with my position.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 4.0 km (7:30 / km)

Orienteering 43:20 [4] 4.5 km (9:38 / km) +150m 8:15 / km

Middle race at Esthwaite Intake. Mistakes on number 11 and 16, not using my compass well enough. Felt tired from 15 onwards. Got caught by Doug and andy. Didn't have the energy to keep with them, think Thursdays race took more out of me than I thought.

Running 50:00 [2] 6.0 km (8:20 / km)

Run to the start plus some drills and then run back with Dad and Quentin.

Running 31:00 [3] 5.3 km (5:51 / km)

Got dropped at Pardshaw and ran to the fell race. Got there and ran up the track. Nice warm up.

Running race 48:00 [5] 8.75 km (5:29 / km) +335m 4:36 / km

Fangs brow figure of eight route. Pushed out of the start well. Had a good line all the way to the first top apart from when I lost the trod and ended up in some tussocks. Was heading for the top and saw that another guy had taken a higher route and got a minute on me. Steady running to the second check point, first place was way ahead and there was no chance in catching. Chris knowles was slowly gaining on me, got to the 2nd checkpoint 10 seconds ahead of him, ran well to the third checkpoint, took a easier running line to the path to avoid the tussocks (didn't want to roll my ankle). Just got ahead of Chris going into the third checkpoint. Then he was on heels on the trod to the col, then he went higher and went for the main trod. Gained abit of distance on him but he caught it back up. Got to the last checkpoint with him, I took it easy coming down because of my ankle thinking he would get away. Was just ahead when we hit the track, vaulted the first gate and got some distance. Pushed hard from there and got him by 20 seconds. Really enjoyed the race and felt strong on the hills. 2nd place, 5-6 minutes down.

Running 1:05:00 [3] 8.5 km (7:39 / km) +335m 6:23 / km

Ran the race route of Thursdays fell race with Toby. Nice route apart from the first part which you need trudge through high reeds. The rest is all on nice trods. Took it easy stopping to check the best lines.

S&C 20:00 [1]

Ankle exercises from the last couple of days.
