Busy weekend for my Dads 50th. Surprise party was a success with him being clueless. Very good day and evening with family and friends.

Run from Mungrisdale up Bowscale fell and Bannerdale crags. Two more wainwrights done.

Orienteering 34:45 [5] 5.4 km (6:26 / km) +250m 5:14 / km

Evening race on Ling Fell. Aim was descriptions and compass. Took my description holder and put the descriptions in to make myself use them properly. Compass was ok, was too right on number 7 and 12. Generally pleased with the run but felt tired after this morning and last night.

Lords Seat fell race - 10th. Really enjoyed the race. Have been really bored running in Manchester for a while and this was needed. Set off at a nice pace up to Barf in 7th, then went through a bad patch and lost 3 places. Then ran well off Lords Seat. Toby came past and I sat behind him for but then went past and ran well down the hill nearly catching 9th. Ricky was miles ahead within 5 minutes and won by 2 mins. Looking forward to the fell races this summer.
