Running 35:00 [3] 6.5 km (5:23 / km)

Easy run round town. Feeling sore after yesterday.

Thursday Apr 3, 2014 #

Running 1:07:30 [3] 8.4 km (8:02 / km) +860m 5:19 / km

WCOC Fell series. Started on the road 300m up from the Church. Up the sailbeck fell race trod up Ard Crag, climbed ok with Mike with Ali and Dan not far behind. Mike got ahead once we hit the track. Descended well down to Newlands, then took a line past the waterfall up to the moss, trudged across the moss and hit the track and climbed steady up Robinson with a decent gap to 2nd place (Mike was doing the short). Pushed well on towards Snockrigg and down to Buttermere. Well clear for my first fell race win but not much competition. Nice to clear the lungs out on a really tough course, legs sore after not really being up on the hills for a few weeks.

Running 15:00 [2] 2.4 km (6:15 / km)

Same loop as yesterday with dad again. Felt fine, fell race tomorrow so plan is to take it steady.

Running 42:00 [3] 7.2 km (5:50 / km)

Easy run around town with dad. Feeling pretty good but will keep it easy tomorrow as well.
