Running 4:34:00 [3] 50.0 km (5:29 / km) +450m 5:15 / km

Nocturnal Ultra.

Didn't go fully to plan but got another long effort race under the belt. First half was going well finishing the first 7 laps (35km) in 2hrs 50 feeling good considering the muddy conditions. Gave myself a quick 90 second break eating some salted pretzels and a drink. Then ran out on lap 8 with K who was having a tough time. Then after a few mins I went back to running my own pace. Lap 8 and 9 went ok but had been battling a small stitch since lap 6 but hadn't really made much difference to my pace.

Started lap 10 feeling ok with the stitch gone. Then about 2km in, the stitch hit me like someone punching me in the stomach. Finished the lap and decided to end my run early.

Big postives are that I didn't cramp and I ran well for much longer than I had in the past without feeling I needed to fuel much. Marathon and 50km pb. Negative was that my back was really sore in the last lap, need to work on some strengthening it.

Not sure what I think of lapped races but pleased I gave it a go. What's next?
