Orienteering race (Spring Cup Relay) 58:14 [4] **** 8.6 km (6:46 / km)
spiked:18/20c shoes: Jalas Black O Shoes

Spring Cup Relay, Tisvilde Hegn. 3rd leg for OK Pan Kristianstad for Team Svensson. Marie ran 1st and Sara ran 2nd, both very good, so we were in competitive position when I started.
Used learning from saturday to get things right today, made sure I chose safe routes and strategies, felt like I was running very well. Frustrated to lose time straight after spectator, and again on 3rd to last, which also lost me a place to Inga Dambe (Paimon Rasti), but I had been hunting earlier on the course and overtaken 3 teams.
Great result - 11th overall.
Even had some fastest splits on the unique course combination.

Orienteering race (Spring Cup Individual) 1:09:44 [4] **** 9.6 km (7:16 / km)
spiked:17/20c shoes: Jalas Black O Shoes

Spring Cup Individual at Tisvilde Hegn. Had a rubbishly early start, but felt good after warm up. Messed up first control, even after identifying it was difficult and chossing a sensible strategy for coping. After that I just kept running past people. Also messed up 16 and 17 near the end. Very frustrated as I just had to watch the rest of the race evolve in front of me, knowing that I could have done better if I had been able to run round with someone.

Note
(rest day)

Hadn't originally intended to rest today, but with travelling to Spring Cup, training in the forest just didn't quite work. I was kicking myself about it for a while, until I reminded myself that it was an easy week and that I was pretty tired from hard session last night and early morning.

Running hills 49:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Road Running Shoes

8mins W/U.
8 x 1min hard uphill, 1min30s easy downhill
2mins30s rest
4 x 1min hard uphill, 1min30s easy downhill
8mins30s W/D
Used sticks to gauge my distance. Apart from rep 2, I managed to move it uphill on every rep until rep 7 which was rubbish, then back to form on rep 8. After reest, rep 9 was huge, but went back to rep 8 distance for 10, 11 and 12. Pushed as hard as I could so was pretty pooped afterwards!

shoes: Asics Road Running Shoes

Long Run from home, Brompton, Bullamoor, then off the back of the ridge and round the lanes. Pushed hard all the way up the hill coming back onto the ridge - felt good, and kept a good pace downhill to home.
