Apartment stairs, down the bottom running short flights with lots of walk recov, plus strings of bunny hops, again with recov. Fun. Should do more often.

Day at home with E. Short walk to Vinnies and house, hoping E would sleep. She didn't.

Orienteering 1:06:00 [3] 6.3 km (10:29 / km)

Orienteering starting on the Esplanade in town, at the Parkrun start. Did the long course and found it a bit of a struggle for some reason, getting in and out of the control circle was frustrating at times on account of map not indicating some of the hindering things in the way of the control. Maybe it was just hot and I was tired. A versatile course, definitely not boring, despite street content.

Eleanor wanted to go in the back pack so did stairs. Down to bottom, to top (she fell asleep) bottom again and home. Managed to manoeuvre her out of it without waking when we got home, yay! Better get going on some jobs....

Klaus's speed variation track session.

Set 1: 700, 100 float, 300, 250 float, 150, getting faster on each
Set 2: 300, 100 float, 150, 250 float, 700, with 300 faster than previous set
Set 3: 150, 100 float, 700, 100 float, 300

Was feeling stuffed after Set 2 plus Eleanor waking from sleep in pram, so was going to stop and tag team Lach for just the last 300 but then Paulo said he'd watch E, so just skipped the 150 of Set 3 and then joined in.

Tough session. Good that Lach came. E very well behaved on waking from car nap, though we shouldn't expect to get that every week. Today's one facilitated by short childcare midday nap.

Out of the house early with the pram, to keep E quiet. Down to Mindil via the school hill and 4 x short steep ups, then on to Little Mindil via the sand. School Hill was pretty busy with people doing hill reps.

House and Vinnies with pram. Eleanor didn't sleep so did living room laps at home as well until she did.

Botanic Gardens loop and explore with Zoe, after a nice afternoon including General Store for a map for Zoe, The Rabbit Hole for coffee, the Mall fountain for Eleanor, and the op shop for bargains. Lots of bargains:).

Weather is just hot at the moment. Used lots of air con today.

Warm up/down, 3 laps each.

Running 12:00 [4] 2.8 km (4:17 / km)

Klaus's track. 2 x (2 x 500 with 400 float between) with 5 min break between sets. Surges when passed or passing, plus all out for the last 100m of the second 500 of each set. Tough but felt really good, so much easier than recent weeks. Massively helped by lovely cool temps after a storm just before. Able to run out ahead of Lorna and never got caught. 500s in 1.57 to 2.00.

Botanic Gardens, Vinnies, House and home with pram, over a 3 hour period. Lots of stops! E enjoyed tree slide lots. Heaps of dragonflies and a kingfisher at our snack spot in the boabs.

E home from child care with the beginnings of a spotty rash. Running with pram, over to the museum, then up the drive 10 times and jog down. Couldn't really go hard and keep good form all over so focused just on legs and holding a strong core. 10 seemed piddly (12 mins) but it was enough.
8 AM

Strength&Conditioning 5:00 [3]

Went around to the steps out the back of the museum and did 4 times up in kangaroo jumps, plus a few extras holding Eleanor, who thought it was hilarious. Definitely using core for those, she's 10kg. Didn't try the big step jumps, not in the right headspace yet. Think we walked home, can't remember.
