walk 37:00 [2]

Loop around the museum and school, picking the shady bits. Spent the time trying to channel inspiration & ideas for this year's post-Christmas amazing race.

Not super hot out so came home and swept in the garden for a bit while Lach finished possum proofing the mango tree-house roof highway. Then did errands in Nightcliff, including Bunnings for nappy buckets, where I learned that I have put on 7 kg (have no scales at home and keep forgetting to ask at the midwife appts).

walk 25:00 [2]

Very little walk around to the two local op shops and back. At the Vinnies a woman had taken about 50 garments into the changing room and then left about 40 of them on the floor afterwards. The sign does say that you can only take in 4 items. Not sure whether the customer (who looked of middle Eastern or similar origin) had really thought about who would tidy up after her....some of the staff are rather frail elderly ladies, so expecting them to clean up after you seems rather disrespectful.

A coolish clear morning, perfect for walking, so made it as long as I could without getting tired/needing a loo. Figured I might not get another chance for a while, as ultrasound this morning to see why I am measuring small. Made it around the Gardens on Melville, across to Little Mindil, and past the casino and up to the school and museum on the coastal path before cutting home. Nice to hear the sea, it was breaking very little waves as the tide came in.

In actual fact ultrasound showed everything the correct size or bigger... guess it is just tucked up tight.

Orienteering (scatter) 48:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel1170 pairA

Yay, orienteering! At Malak, scatter course set by Kelly. Really good area for it, lots of shady alleys of park behind the houses and slight breeze and a few sprinklers made it even 'cooler'. Did the 12/20 option, heading out on course a bit before official opening time so didn't see anyone for a while, but then after half way saw heaps of people on the Easy, going around many of the same controls but opposite direction to me....particularly lots of dads running with their kids. Good competition for Oscar, who doesn't seem to do much running these days!

Got very stormy looking after I got back so packed things away rather early, but in the end we just got blustery smoky conditions with about six raindrops...everything went to the south.

Last day of work today.....power was off for a fair bit of afternoon which sort of made it easier as forced to clean out drawers and things rather than trying to get my folders on the drive perfect.
