Note

Ow, sore calves today! Maybe too much thong-orienteering, or perhaps from the sandy beach yesty morning.

Bin came over for coffee and we made biscuits that were much wetter than should have been- pretty sure I stuffed up the flour quantity, making them even more sugary than supposed to be!

walk 1:12:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel1170 pairA

Across to the school and then south along the beach to little Mindil, up Nurse's walk and past the Burnett houses before coming back on Gilruth Ave. Sand a bit soft, but was nice to walk not on footpaths. Nurse's walk steps were hard work!

Orienteering 45:00 [2]

Pre-awards games/activity at Knuckey Lagoon Rec Reserve - scatter style course to copy down symbols on little pieces of corflute tethered to control flags. Wearing a dress and thongs, but luckily quite soft in the bush after afternoon storm and controls mostly on tracks or just off them. Had to skip 5 out of 30 as thought I'd better get back and start the awards, but ended up not starting as Lachlan still out there trying to get them all with complete disregard for time. Susi eventually called him in:)

walk 50:00 [2]

Cloudy morning, so a couple of short walks. To Parap and back for flour and then to the Vinnies. Sticky now though and cicadas getting going, so it might turn thundery later.

Wednesday Dec 3, 2014 #

walk 26:00 [2]

After dinner walk around the block accompanied by Lachlan. Otherwise a very sedentary day.

7 PM

walk 25:00 [2]

Short walk to the fire station corner and back, just to get out of the house, as pretty much spent the whole day sewing crocodiles which made feet puffy.

Orienteering 45:00 [2]

Scatter course starting at south side of the uni, 12 controls. Stuck to checkpoints mostly inside the campus, as they clearly were the closest 12 ...Juli overtook me doing exact same order and we passed Susi going in the opposite direction as well. Rather plovery tonight and quite a few map corrections needed on account of ongoing construction - might have made going tricky for those less familiar with the area/map reading.
