Orienteering race (Easter Day 2) 1:39:01 [4] 10.8 km (9:10 / km) +275m 8:08 / km

Tundarri, area north of Bri Glen. Enjoyed the course, had a mix of short legs along creek, a couple of route choices of over vs around hills, some hilly but basic nav legs where picking the exact contour to run was important to minimize climb, and towards the end, several compass legs which went well for me. Wasn't sure I would make it the whole way around so was very pleased to finish it, and in under 100 mins. Other goal was to be no more than 30 mins behind Hanny, which I also achieved. Wore running shoes which helped...feet were sore but not too sore to be able to complete it. When finding the going tough, told myself that labour was much worse.

Orienteering (Easter Day 1 ) 1:01:05 [4] 5.7 km (10:43 / km) +235m 8:53 / km
shoes: VJ Bold

Wonna Creek, SW corner of old Bri Glen area. Middle distance style course. Found it a bit long and quite physical, not helped by over running #2 and going slightly too far right on #14 and getting to next creek system over. Maybe 2 mins lost at each. Feet found O shoes a bit hard, blister under L big toe starting.

Orienteering race (Easter prologue) 19:54 [5] 3.6 km (5:32 / km) +10m 5:27 / km

At Jamestown, around some streets, park, silos and oval. A fairly basic course for nav, but had quite a European sprint feel. Liked it.

Stopped on way back for pears and apples growing on road verge. Were brilliantly pest free and un-bird-attacked...guess they were too far from anywhere to be invaded. Pear tree quite difficult and poky to climb, but got a fair way up, then heard E going off in the car so hurried down but had to leave shirt behind in tree as too snagged to un-stick it in a hurry. Lach collected it.

Running 25:00 [3]

Short run with Zara to the pine forest before eating yummy orange cake made by Liz. Nearly died on the first part up to the forest ..so hilly, could hardly talk.
2 PM

walk 40:00 [1]

Bits and pieces of walking, from Liz & Ryan's to/from station, plus up/down Rundle Mall. Overcast and tried hard to rain.

walk 1:20:00 [2]

From Liz and Ryan's, up into the National Park with Lach and Eleanor, while Ryan went on ahead with Euan and Kira in the tag along. A bit of fussing on the way there in the pram so swapped to the back pack for the last 15 mins. At the adventure playground I ran around in the concrete tunnels with Euan, being scared by cookie monster Lach (+ E) who kept popping up around blind corners at the tunnel junctions and growling and cackling evilly, while Ryan minded Kira. Lots of screaming but it was all happy:). Plus E managed the whole way back in the pram....a good day all round!

Oh, and the weather was glorious. I love autumn down south.
6 PM

walk 50:00 [1]

From Lach's Nanna's place at Nth Brighton we went out looking for fish and chips with E in the pram. Took longer than expected as the local was closed and we had to find another, so walked down across the train line and got some opposite the Woolies near the church.
