Classic_Map

Sweetened condensed version because I am sick of typing and I dont think my rambling benefits anyone.

Point 2: decided to go high on the hill and attack from above. hit the close rentrant and took an asmuth. I ran and found the next reentrant but did not pay attention to my map. I went down the rentrant too far and did not see the point. ran back up hill. Relocated, grabbed point.
Failed to attack well. drifted. gave up too much elevation.
Error: 3 minutes.

Point 3: took bad asmuth from point 2, hesitated from attack.
Error: 30 seconds.

Point 4: did not trust that i was running on asmuth, found trail when i hit the road and tried again. ran 100m and then took new asmuth. had to start dodging trees and the only savior was the river which led me to point.
Bad compass work, failed to thumb along or even read map as much as i should have. ran wrecklessly.
Error: 10 seconds.

Point 5. Lost contact with map. Did not know exactly where i was, but hit trail and found proper spur to run on. Did not read map well enough to know that it would be facing SE, thought it would be SW, but saw a point and decided to check control number since it was on my path and it was mine. very lucky.

Point 7. Terrible asmuth. Error: 20 seconds

Point 8: Lost contact with map until hitting the road. Did not know what asmuth i was running on until I hit the road.

Point 9: terrible asmuth. Error: 20 seconds

Point 10: Lost contact with map. Did not use pacecount. was caught by river intersection too far west, realized it but lost time because of it. Error: 40 seconds

Point 11: Lost contact with the map

Point 12: Read wrong clue, did not plan properly, lost contact with map.
Error: 50 seconds

Point 13: Bad asmuth, no plan. Error: 20 seconds

Total Error: 6 min 10 sec.
I made some big rookie mistakes; didnt keep contact with my map, and had a tough time with the compass.
