Orienteering warm up/down 35:00 [2]

Orienteering race 1:14:00 [5] 8.8 km (8:25 / km) +100m 7:57 / km

JEC long distance, bad times. Technically it was fine but I just haven't run that far in such a long time that I completely blew up ages from the finish. Pretty gutting end to the weekend, makes me feel crap about my orienteering and a bit of a knock to confidence

JEC relay, a few silly errors & general faffage. Not really fit enough for the pace of last leg. Good area but hard work

JEC sprint race, such good fun :) I know I shouldn't have favourites but i really do enjoy sprints. Tough running over the fields but some good technical stuff at the end. Reckon i lost 25secs in a bad route choice near to start and missing the last 'crossing point' on the steps. Then a bit from not quite having the control circle visualised everytime so not flowing through all controls. Still with a perfect race would have been over a minute down, pretty scary stuff.

Alternated 4 lengths fast/slow.
Really wanted to do S&C but decided it probably wasn't the best idea to start right before jec since it used to be well painful afterwards, so that's next weeks mission.
Got lots of sleep too & i feel much better :)

Warm up on bike. Then lots of core stuff, balance things, weights. Sort of a little circuit I made up until I get a proper one sorted out. Warm down rowing.

Hopefully I did the right thing by training through this sore throat. Cross training for 50mins - highish resistance. 160HR.

Alternated jogging with walking for 1min on the way to gym. A bit sore so I may stop running just until JEC starts & then try again
