Had another really consistent run. Two small wobbles at no.1 & 13 but the rest was great. I know it wasn't the fastest but this new idea of just forgetting about trying to push excessively hard & just hitting things cleanly seems to be paying off.

So very pleased :) In fact that's the first race I've been proud of myself in for such a long time. Was really focused and well prepared, went in with the race plan that it didn't matter if I had to stop but I was going to do every leg cleanly and with a plan. A few hesitations and very small misses but nothing more than 20sec and they can be worked on. Just the fact that I've got it into my head to navigate finally is miraculous!
Really great confidence boost - hopefully it can be repeated tomorrow and in subsequent selections!!

Shins are much better again, just in time for the weekend :)
Short run before my conference with a map of Gullane, looking through different routes & visualising it all. Ended with some strides.

Shins still a bit sore from the road running last weekend so decided not to risk it with intervals as well. Did a 1 hour spin class with 15 mins gentle spin before/after.
