Running 5:30:00 [3] 39.0 km (8:28 / km) +1300m 7:15 / km

Guiding on the Run up the Highlands. Day 1 Alyth to Glen Clova. Good day. Nice group. Only a couple of showers. Ate too much at the lunch stop and stomach was complaining for most of the second half. Legs were a bit sore by the end of the forest track, but felt better once we got more into terrain after that.

Feeling a bit meh when I set off. Dinnet to Ballater by the SDRd and back by the N. Just ticking over today - couple of long days coming up.


Excited to get the chance to represent Scotland once again in the SHIs (if a bit worried for the team :-()
Gives me a good focus for training over the next few weeks.

Carnferg with J. Up the Fungle, round the back to climb to the top, then straight back down again. Felt better than I have in a while. Climb seemed positively small and gentle... must plan some more alpine trips to keep that feeling!

Another couple of out and backs through AC grounds. Felt a lot more relaxed today.

Hanging and collecting controls for ASC down by the river. Love this wee bit of woodland.

Hanging controls for JIRCS at Cambus. All out by 10:45. Legs not too bad, but wasn't moving very fast.

Aboyne Castle out and back x 2. Legs much improved today, but still didn't feel great for balance and ankles tired quickly, so kept it short and easy.

Very easy spin out the DW from Dinnet to Cambus and back to try and get some more blood circulating.
