Running 15:00 [2]

Active recovery. Jog with the TD4 group at Dalliefour training, then collecting a few controls after. Good session. Felt like there was a bit of a buzz, even without all the ScotJOS juniors there.

In Loch Ullachie with J after training. V refreshing and a gorgeous spot.

Running 3:20:00 [3] 23.5 km (8:31 / km) +910m 7:08 / km

Thought that everyone would be up at Braemar, so headed up to Loch Muick to find the whole world had done the same and cp was full! Parked along the road and headed out the S side of the loch (nobody to be seen very soon) then up the path towards Dubh Loch. Legs not feeling great on the climb but ok otherwise. From Dubh Loch climbed to the top of Bhoidheach. Lots of big fat hare and a dotterel (?). Took long enough to get to there so skirted round Lochnagar to rejoin the tourist path for the descent. Lovely day and nice to be out with J without being in a rush (managing to forget part 2 of the day).

Orienteering 1:00:00 [2] 6.4 km (9:22 / km)

Refuel at the Bothy then time to hang some controls for training at Dalliefour. Disappointed to find the gate at the track end locked, necessitating an extra 2km jog in and out. Shuffling at the start but loosened after a while and really quite enjoyed it. Lovely bit of forest up the top of the Knock.

To bottom of Fungle, between reps and back again at end.

Running hills 20:00 [5] 2.1 km (9:31 / km) +140m 7:09 / km

With J. 2 x sets of 5x1'+1' on the Fungle with jog part way back between each and 2' between sets. Not attacking 100%. Feeling quite tired, but good to do some quality.

Feeling really tired this morning. Easy leg loosener out the DW to Boddomend then over the hill to Dess bowl, round to the cross roads and back by DAP.

Hanging and collecting markers in school grounds for first ASC session. Fun to be back, but it absolutely hoyed it down for half the session.... see who comes back next week!

Run round Bellwood checking tapes for Level D event. V pleasant.

WeTT Birsemore. Living up to its name. Feeling tired and took a while to get going, but enjoyed it once I was up the top. Having difficulty reading any detail in the green bits - could have done with a headtorch. A few weeks of this should help get me terrain fit. Time includes jog up to start.

From AA box out to the NW end of Glen Dye to do some intervals, and back again at the end.

Running intervals 30:00 [5] 4.4 km (6:49 / km) +40m 6:31 / km

With J. 5x4'+2' on undulating tracks in Glen Dye. First 2 mainly d'hill, second 2 mainly up, then mainly flat for the last. Not feeling up for it at the start, but managed to work through the session ok.
Picked the biggest blaeberries ever afterwards.

With J. Steady lunchtime run down the DW towards Kinker, up P'murchie Rd to mansion, then back through fields and woods. Feeling ok running but still low on energy.
