Hanging controls at Dess for training, then a quick nip back home to get the box of compasses.

With J from Dinnet out along the river bank to Cambus bridge, then slopes of Cnoc Dubh behind hotel, returning round Loch Kinord. Legs feeling tired on the steeper hills, but managed to work through it quite successfully and trying to keep a decent pace up. Mainly dry overhead but soaked through from wet bracken within 10' of the start.

At GML for a meeting. Raining heavily all day but eased by the time we finished so headed out for a trot. Started round the slopes of Meall a Bhuachaille, then into the Ryvoan pass. Legs were feeling quite good, so headed on up to Ryvoan bothy. By this stage it was brightening a bit and although I was totally soaked from juniper undergrowth and puddles, the path heading up onto Meall a Bhuachaille was just too tempting. Pretty wild and cold up top and I was breaking all the rules with no spare kit, but it felt like a stolen hill. Dropped back down towards Glenmore pretty rapidly (once I managed to spot the path off the summit). Bonus.

Home to Lumphanan, up the brae to Tar Rd, east to back road and then along west side of Learney, and back over Pitmurchie hill. A bit windy but nice ride.

Hanging and collecting in Castle woods for ASC. Good session and stayed dry. Still quite a lot of blaeberries around.

Trying out a Light WeTT for the first time at Balnagowan. 7 joining in with JW and AC to mentor. Jogged up to the start and then on to no 3, trying not to lead the way. A bit more jogging around during their loops then back down at the end. Managed to get them all out of the forest before it got dark, but think we'll need to start a bit earlier next week. Enough for today as tired from yesterday.

Jog down the DW to far end of Kinker and back again at end of intervals

Running intervals 30:00 [5] 4.6 km (6:31 / km) +40m 6:15 / km

5x4'+2' on the DW out towards Potties for 2 and a bit, then back towards Kinker again. Climb at the start of the last one killed me.

Running 44:00 [3] 8.1 km (5:26 / km) +75m 5:12 / km

GT 2 bridges steady. Trippin along at a decent pace with AS. Felt ok once I got going - often quite enjoy a second session like this.
